It’s only been running since last week “The Blacklist” , the most successful new drama series of the US television season, on German pay TV on RTL Crime. The broadcasting group has now announced that the hit series with James Spader will soon also be shown on our free-to-air television. RTL shows the first season from January 21 as a free TV premiere. At the start there will be a double episode from 8.15 p.m., the other episodes of the NBC series will then be broadcast individually on Tuesdays from 9.15 p.m.
Spader plays ex-terrorist Raymond “Red” Reddington, one of the country’s most wanted criminals. He volunteers at the FBI headquarters in Washington DC and offers to provide the FBI with information about previously unknown terrorists that he has collected over the years on his so-called “blacklist”. But of course only if the cooperation runs according to his terms.
Joining Spader are Megan Boone (“Sex and the City 2”), Harry J. Lennix (“Ray”), Diego Klattenhoff ( “Homeland”) und Ryan Eggold ( “90210” ) can be seen in other leading roles. Just a few days ago, NBC had ordered a full second season of its ratings hit.
