Brazil – Cosmonerd – New Amsterdam returns to FOX Life in January

New Amsterdam

Starting on Monday, January 4, 2021, FOX Life will re-air on the channel the second season of the medical series New Amsterdam . With 18 episodes of one hour each, the production will now air daily, from Monday to Friday, always at 6:00 pm.

The drama, inspired by the oldest public hospital in the United States, tells the story of the brilliant and charming Dr. Max Goodwin ( Ryan Eggold, Blacklist ), the new medical director of the institution, who set out to renew the way to manage the establishment. Max struggles to defeat bureaucracy and provide the best possible care to hospital patients, while working to balance his life and defeat his personal demons.

Without taking “no” for an answer, Dr. Goodwin must disrupt the status quo and show that he will stop at nothing to restore glory and breathe new life into this underappreciated hospital. After all, it is the only hospital in the country capable of treating Ebola patients, Rikers Island prisoners, and the President of the United States at the same time.

Second season of “New Amsterdam”
After the surprising first season finale , in which everyone wonders who’s under the white sheet, the new episodes pick up three months after the birth of Max’s daughter and a catastrophic accident. As Vijgy Kapoor ( Anupam Kher, Silver Linings ) battles the stigmata of aging and Floyd Reynolds ( Jocko Sims, Dreamgirls ) deals with an unreliable new intern, Max works to find a new normal after the tragic events.

New Amsterdam shows life in and out of the hospital, along with Max’s difficult decision to break out of the system and help those most in need. In addition to Eggold, Kher and Sims, the cast is rounded out by Tyler Labine ( Deadbeat ), Freema Agyeman ( Sense8 ), and Janet Montgomery ( Salem ), and is produced by Peter Horton and David Schulner .
